BlackBerry launches BB 9720 at Rs. 15,990.

BlackBerry on thursday launched its BB 9720 at Rs. 15,990 in India. 

Powered by 806 MHz Tavor MG1 processor this phone runs on latest  BlackBerry 7.1 OS. BB 9720 features a Qwerty keyboard with a 2.8 inch. touch screen and an optical trackpad for navigation. Other features include a 512 MB ram, 5MP camera with LED flash, supports Wi-fi and 1450mAH removable battery. Though it comes along a microSD slot supporting external memory upto 32 GB but has too little internal memory to go along with. And without a 3G network support chances look very rare for BB 9720 to beat its competitors at Rs. 15k range.

Windows phone 7.8 update is finally here!

Finally after so much of wait windows phone 7.x users  have finally received windows phone 7.8 update on their device today. Windows phone 7.8 is an intermediate between windows phone 7.5 and windows phone 8 OS platforms i.e. Windows phone 7.8 update will bring few features of windows phone 8 like new start interface, resizeable tiles, 20 accent colors, marketplace, xbox smartglass, etc..

This update is being available to almost all devices from Nokia, HTC, Samsung, etc..

Beside original update from Microsoft, Nokia has also released few more features like Bluetooth Share, extra camera features, ringtone maker, etc. for their Lumia users, which is being well appreciated by Lumia users.

Aakash 3: faster and better?

A new version of Aakash, "Aakash 3" is being  manufactured. According to the sources, about 50 lakh units of Aakash 3 tablets will be launched by February next year. Rumor has it that the Aakash 3 will support both Linux and Android operating systems with much faster processor and bigger space for data than its predecessor in addition it is also rumored to have a SIM card slot allowing voice calling, hmm...sounds pretty good, eh??

But Mr. Kapil Sibal, sir where are previous version of Aakash tablets which were said to be designed for engineering students? Although being an engineering student till now i never got a chance to touch, feel and work on Aakash tab, may be my good luck. Well guys i was never so pessimist about Aakash you can check my previous post ( Aakash Tablet ) but due to several delays, China made claims, unavailability of tablets have made me think like this.

Android Tablet below Rs. 6000

Today we are sharing 3 budget Android tablets priced below Rs. 6000 which performs pretty well. So let’s take a quick look on them

1. IRA tablet: Manufactured in India by Wishtel in collaboration with IIT Rajasthan, IRA is an Android based tablet that is powered by the VIA Wonder Media WM8650 ARM 800MHz chip, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradable to 2.3 Gingerbread) and with 7” of resistive touchscreen LCD, IRA offers a decent 800 x 480 pixels of resolution. The tablet also supports Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle, 256MB of RAM capacity and internal memory of 2GB. IRA tablet comes with 2200 mAh battery which can provide battery backup for up to 3 hours and weighs 370 grams. It comes with pre-loaded study material of various study boards like CBSE, IIT and ICSE and also supports different Indian languages.

2. NXG Xtab A10: An Android based tablet developed by NXG Electronics which is powered by Allwinner A10 1.5GHz processor, runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It comes with a 7” capacitive multi-touchscreen LCD, a front facing VGA camera, supports Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle, with 512MB of RAM, internal memory of 4GB/8GB, weighs 360 grams and with 3600 mAh battery it can last for up to 7-8 hours on a single charge, which is pretty excellent for a low cost budget tab.
